Industrial engineering

This engineering degree course, specialising in industrial engineering runs on a 3-year school/workplace basis, with an apprenticeship. IMT Lille Douai is authorised by the CTI to award the degree. The course is open to students holding a two-year higher education diploma (L, DUT, BTS, Special Maths).

MT Lille Douai is responsible for the school/workplace course for engineers studying industrial engineering, run in partnership with inGHenia.

This course is authorised by the French Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs and awards students an engineering degree from Mines Douai, specialising in Manufacturing Technology.

The course enrols 52 students each year.

Students study a 3-year school/workplace syllabus, two weeks in school and two weeks with a host company. The study programme is modular and includes individual monitoring of students’ progress (tutorials at the school and in the workplace).

Students studying this course are paid employees (apprenticeship contract).

The course is designed for students holding two-year higher education diplomas (DUT, BTS, DEUG/L2, Special Maths), interested in production as well as its management and optimisation. It trains general engineers to work in the industrial engineering sector and become production system managers.

The types of jobs in this sector are wide-ranging, such as production managers, project and methods managers, but also R&D managers and consultants. Our engineers work in all the key industrial sectors, including the automotive industry, energy, railway systems, aeronautics and plastics processing, etc.

Average starting salaries are around €38k per year.
