Energy efficiency is a plural approach demonstrating the ratio between the useful energy produced by a system and the total energy consumed to make it work. This notion is often interpreted in a broader sense to refer to the technologies and practices enabling reduced energy consumption while maintaining the same final performance level

Fields of action

Different approaches are developed by CERI EE:

  • the envelope of structures like buildings and their insulation techniques (architecture, heating, etc.) for passive efficiency;
  • the improvement of the energy efficiency process or technological equipment used for active efficiency.

Several distinctions and references

CERI EE has around ten active patents, demonstrating its ability to promote its research work, particularly to companies.
